Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) is a global community that creates and provides digital and print maps to address the world's toughest challenges. Millions of people around the world are still not represented on maps, and because of this, have no access to basic services. Whenever disaster strikes, they’re not included in relief operations.

Local OpenStreetMap communities are working to create these maps to ensure governments, relief agencies and community leaders can use this data for development and response. HOT is supporting these communities with Microgrants to scale their activities and address the basic barriers they face; access to equipment, internet, and training.

For the past two years, supporters like you have directly funded these local Microgrants. Grantees have made over 2 million edits to the map and trained over 7000 local mappers to date. Communities can train new mappers for less than $5 per person!

Your donation is needed urgently to map the world’s most vulnerable and least mapped places through Microgrants. 100% of each Microgrant donation goes to a local leader who is transforming their community and filling in critical data gaps.

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization your donation is tax deductible in the United States.

HOT and OSM communities around the world rely on the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF). Become an OSMF member today.
